About Us

Paddy & Shona have over 22 years of Barista experience. Our dream team came together during the Covid-19 Pandemic and decided to take an almighty leap into Cafe ownership! After locating their dream premises on Belfast's bustling Ormeau Road the dream became a reality with a bit of elbow grease, some blood, sweat and quite a few tears. 

 Meticulous Coffee heads will recognise that our house blend is unique. Sourced from the finest Brazilian farms, our arabica beans are shipped and and roasted right here in Belfast. Combining stunning coffee with good food was a must. All the food at First Avenue is made in house using the best local produce. Our sweet treats are all sourced from an amazing artisan local bakery.

Situated by Ormeau park (an now in Stramillis also) we are a Mecca for dog walkers, and you'll even have fresh home baked doggie treats and pup cups for our four legged friends. So pull up a chair or a comfy sofa and while away the hours watching the world go by, spend lazy afternoons on our outside terrace or bring your laptop get some work done.

We open early and close late, so there's always a good time to pop in.
